4. Fish in Stephens State Park

Take a 33-mile drive to 470-acre Stephens State Park at 800 Willow Grove Street in Hackettstown to cast your line in the Musconetcong River, a prime fly fishing spot where you can enjoy a peaceful day along the river catching summer trout.

The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife regularly stocks the river with rainbow, brown, and brook trout, and those in the know say if you drop your hook after a good rain in the first two hours after sunrise, you will be awarded the best catches.
