Safety
The MINI may be a small car, but safety is a BIG priority. It contains a front and rear Head Protection System, and 8 airbags, which include side and head airbags for the front driver/passenger and the outer two seats in the rear of the vehicle. The supplemental restraint system (SRS) in the front of the vehicle includes knee airbags for both driver and passenger.
Forward-Thinking Safety Features
If the vehicle detects a crash, it can automatically disengage the fuel pump, unlock all doors, and it will turn on all the interior lights as well as the hazard lights outside of the vehicle. The Active Driving Assistant feature contains Forward Collision Mitigation, Left Turn Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Speed Limit Assist. MINI engineers have taken safety up a notch with these advanced and forward-thinking features.
