Move up to the John Cooper Works ALL4 to get the same 2.0-liter engine but with an output of 301 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. The plug-in hybrid pairs the 1.5-liter engine with an electric motor. This combination produces 221 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque.
When you have the front-wheel-drive version of the Mini Countryman, the engines pair with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Choose the all-wheel-drive version, and you'll get an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Both the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive trims have a suspension system made up of front struts and a multilink system for the rear. Choose the John Cooper Works trim to get an electronically locking differential, Brembo brakes, and a suspension system with adaptive dampers.
